The feeder is placed on top of the hive. The telescoping lid goes directly on the feeder, or you can place an empty super around the feeder then top it off with the telescoping lid. The bees can access the syrup from either end but cannot access the well. So no drowning! Holds 2 gallons. Made of UV resistant material for years of service.
